After color dusting, the flowers look vivid and more beautifu. It's a pity that the white orchid was broken by accident, so I didn't take a picture of it.

Gum paste is a kind of sugar art that demand a lot of labor and time. During the class, we spent 2 hours for just making 3 roses. It explains why a costly cake decorated with gum pste flowers would charge thousands. We have to wait until the petals are dry, then can start dust with color powder. So here are the in-process flowers only.

For cake decorating, everything should be edible except for the wires that support the flowers. Even the glue is eatable. How time consuming it is to make a rose? We have to make two layers of petals and let it dry for half an hour, then continue make next two layers...Totally, we have to dry 4 times for each rose.
