All the flowers on cake were made of royal icing, and let it dry for few days before used. The cake must be at least 3" tall to make the basket weaving look nice. Before decorating, frost the cake top well, but only need a crumb coat for the sides.

We cut a wax paper to the size of the cake, and then fold it into 32 equal parts. Use this paper to make the 32 points on the edge of the cake top. Tip#47 were used to pipe the basket weaving. This is a time-consuming and tiring job for both hands and eyes...

After the weaving, insert the fence, and then arrange the flowers and attach with royal icing. I also piped some small leaves between flowers.
